Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you type in and which option you chose, looking for work or hiring, along with the time you signed up. The form also has a hidden field that catches automated bots; real visitors never see or fill it in.

That's it for the form itself. If you accept analytics, we also see, in the aggregate, which sections of this page people read and which buttons they click, through PostHog, described below under "Cookies and tracking." We don't collect your name, resume, or anything else here. Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server access logs, things like IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting, the same as almost any website.

If you use the "Copy link" or "Share by email" option after joining the waitlist, it only copies or emails this site's plain web address. We don't generate a personal or unique link for you, don't track who you share it with, and can't tell whether a later signup came from your share.

How we use it

We'll send you one email, the day Casematch opens. That's the full list. The "looking for work" or "hiring" option you picked just tells us which link to put in that email, so it points you straight to the candidate or employer side instead of a generic homepage. We don't sell your email, share it with advertisers, add you to a marketing list, or run a drip campaign. Reply to any email from us and we'll take you off the list.

Where it's stored

A short list of who touches this data, and why:

• Supabase, our database and API provider, hosted in the United States, stores the waitlist entries.
• Our web hosting provider serves this page and keeps the access logs described above.
• Google Fonts loads the typefaces on this page. Your browser requests them directly from Google, which means Google receives the usual request data, such as your IP address. See Google's privacy policy for how they handle that.
• If you accept analytics, PostHog, described below, stores a random analytics id and the events described under "Cookies and tracking."

Cookies and tracking

This page uses privacy-friendly product analytics, but only if you say yes. When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline. Nothing analytics-related is loaded, and nothing is written to your browser for that purpose, until you click "Accept analytics." Declining, or a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal your browser is already sending, keeps it off without asking again.

If you accept, this page loads PostHog, a product analytics tool, to see which sections of this page people read and which button they click, so we know what's working before Casematch opens. PostHog assigns your browser a random, non-identifying id, stored in your browser's local storage, not a cookie, and records the page you're on and which buttons or links you interact with. We do not use PostHog's session recording feature on this site. We never send PostHog the email address you type into the waitlist form, or anything else you type. PostHog is operated by PostHog Inc. and hosted in the United States.

Your choice is recorded in your browser's local storage under the key casematch.consent.analytics, together with the date you chose and which version of this choice it was. This is the only thing this page's own banner writes to your browser regardless of which button you click; nothing else is set until you separately accept analytics.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the control below, or clear your browser's local storage for this site and reload the page to be asked again.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist entries until Casematch launches and the launch email goes out. After that, we delete the waitlist within 90 days, unless you've since opened an account, in which case the platform Privacy Policy takes over, or you've asked us to keep you posted about something specific. You can ask us to delete your entry sooner at any time.

Your choices and rights

Email us at [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We respond within 30 days. Residents of US states with applicable consumer privacy laws (such as California) have statutory rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal data. We honor these requests for all waitlist signups.

Security

The connection to this site is encrypted (HTTPS). The waitlist table itself is write-only from the public site: the key this page uses can add a new signup and cannot read, change, or delete anyone's entry, including yours. Only Casematch administrators can read the list.

Age

This site is intended for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we'll remove the entry.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the effective date above. If a change materially affects waitlist members, we'll email you about it.
